St. Swithun’s, a leading independent school in Winchester, has built an acclaimed reputation for academic excellence and superior facilities over its 125 year history.
Responsible for over 1200 covers each day, the kitchen is required to produce large quantities of food within limited time periods. With their wash-up equipment over 10 years old, Ian Garland, General Services Manager at the school, decided it was time for an upgrade. Having approached several companies for a solution to their needs, Ian was impressed by the option put forward by HOBART, enlisting them to install their recommendation of a UX Utensil Washer, ideal for the large number of pots, pans, trays and other utensils used at the school.
Why the UX makes the grade
• Provides a choice of cycles to match the degree of soiling, ensuring utensils always emerge beautifully clean.
• Ensures all-important EC hygiene standards are complied to with its standard rinse booster, guaranteeing quality rinsing with clean water at approximately 85°C.
• Provides fantastic potential savings of up to £16,000 over 10 years thanks to features such as the innovative drain heat recovery system, saving over 5kW per hour.
"The kitchen staff are delighted with the new UX machine, it’s very user friendly and efficient, and now the pots and pans are always clean and ready to use. HOBART is a well-established company with a reputation for high quality machines, they really gave us complete peace of mind throughout the whole process and I couldn’t have wished for better."
