Our Service Technicians are factory trained to the highest standards in our own brands - HOBART, Bonnet and Elro kitchen equipment - and are skilled to identify and fix problems quickly.
HOBART Service Technicians have exclusive access to the technical information bank behind the workings of every piece of HOBART and Bonnet catering equipment. These proprietary tools help our Technicians to get your equipment up and running in the most efficient manner available in the market.
Our Technicians' van stock plays a vital part in fixing equipment in one visit, HOBART Service's Spares Logistics Manager, Katie Richardson explains: "Each engineer will hold a core stock of spare parts, then tailored bolt-on kits dependent on skill set can be added to their van, for example a gas kit of parts or machine-specific items like our high pressure steamer.
"Engineers can also request items they feel will assist their own stock, as we understand not every region of the country has the same customer base and needs – each engineer has the flexibility to add beneficial items to his van to help his customer stay open."
Providing our customers a fix on first visit is vitally important to the trusting relationship our Techs have with their customers. Andi Coles, Operations Manager for the South explains: “From a field operations point of view, it is important to us to give a First Time Fix. We would go into the customers kitchen and ask, ‘What do you want from us’ and the customer would always say, ‘I just want my machine working.’
“We created the van stock so the Techs could go in and fix our machines the first time. It has been brilliant, particularly in the relationships we have built with the customers.”
We have over 90% parts availability in our Peterborough warehouse, meaning any parts not in van stock are available to our Techs next day, 7 days a week.
