A reputation for innovation, combined with a heritage of manufacturing excellence enables Hobart to develop machines with features that make care kitchen life easier and more productive.
Hobart’s dedicated Care Package is a range of equipment specially selected by our expert team. By working with care operators and through long-term partnerships with key associations, we have been able to create this package, built around three unique challenges…
Simplicity – The equipment in the Hobart Care Package is designed to be intuitive, reliable, and easy for every member of the care kitchen team to use.
Price – From the most innovative, best value warewashers on the market, to cooking solutions that save on time, energy, and costly food waste, no matter the budget, this is a range purpose-built for the requirements of every care kitchen.
Hygiene – Hobart sets the standard for hygienic washing and drying solutions in warewash and offers a range of cooking equipment that’s easy to clean and simple to maintain.
Hobart’s Care machine is a cost-effective, care-focused professional warewasher, offering absolute peace of mind in the form of thermal disinfection cycles, with hygienic drying of two racks of ware in just 10 minutes.
The Care machine offers simple, single-button operation, is easy to clean, and uses just 3.5 litres of water per cycle, compared with a domestic machine which may use up to 18 litres.
Short, standard, and intensive programmes, as well as the thermal disinfection cycles, cater for the wash requirements of residents, staff and visitors alike.
Added top-dry functionality saves time and is more hygienic than drying by hand.
All this in a compact, undercounter footprint to make the most of available kitchen space.
When space is limited and maximum output is required, this award-winning machine doubles the capacity and productivity of a conventional hood-type dishwasher within the same footprint.
With the option to use the lower chamber as a dedicated utensil washer for pots and pans, the Two Level Washer washes different types of ware simultaneously, saving time and simplifying the dishwashing operation.
For added peace of mind and improved hygiene management, a dedicated hygiene cycle keeps the machine fresh and improves machine maintenance.
Hobart has introduced a range of effective and hygienic solutions for washing and drying reusable plastics used in the care kitchen.
For smaller sites processing reusable cups, bowls and bottles, the TOP-DRY feature in Hobart’s Care machine offers the best possible plastic drying results. A specially developed rack system ensures that light wash ware won’t topple over and stays in position during the cycle. When used in combination with Hobart’s innovative Hyline rinse aid, smaller sites have a bespoke washing and drying solution, perfect for their requirements.
For larger sites, Hobart’s unique, hood-type drying system, which also twins perfectly with the rack system and Hyline rinse aid solution, can be retrofitted to existing tabling at any time. Installation is simple and can be adapted to a specific kitchen footprint.
The Hobart High Speed Steamer is the ideal partner for care kitchens, where getting nutrition on the plate quickly, consistently and in an appealing way is a major concern for chefs.
The use of ‘dry’ steam under pressure dramatically reduces cook times compared to traditional methods and accelerated cook times enable chefs to cook on demand, helping to cut down on produce costs and food wastage.
Adjusting the cook time by mere seconds also means chefs can achieve varying consistencies of food – making it easy to cater for individual dietary requirements.
“[Hobart’s] High Speed Steamer is a favourite with the kitchen team. It offers such a quick cook turnaround, safeguarding the quality and texture of the food. Crucially, this makes presentation much easier because of the incredible boost in colour that the steam delivers.” - Philip Shelley, Senior Operation and Policy Manager for the NHS and Chair of the NHS Food Review.
Hobart boasts one of the most reliable and easy to operate ranges of combi ovens on the market including the space-saving Minijet – an innovation that delivers all of the performance of a full-sized oven in a compact package, whilst still being able to accommodate full sized gastronorms. In addition, the oven can be used with either single or three phase electricity and is perfect for smaller kitchens where space is limited.
The Minijet is also extremely simple to clean, benefitting from fully automatic hygienic wash cycles and personalised cleaning schedules.
For larger sites, the Eco Combi comes in budget friendly six or ten grid models with humidity control, automatic smart wash system and an internal core probe included as standard.
Hobart’s Ecomax range offers build quality, ease of use and reliability at affordable prices.
The range includes single and twin tank, gas and electric fryers, with moulded and seamlessly welded tanks for ease of cleaning and a safety thermostat to shut off in case of overheating.
Ecomax oven ranges come with cast iron removable burners with self-stabilizing flame for heavy duty cooking. Horizontal flame provides uniform heat distribution, ideal for delicate cooking.
To compliment your modular equipment, Hobart’s Ecomax range of gas and electric salamander grills can sit freestanding on modules or be wall mounted, seamlessly expanding the potential of care menus.
