Café Andaluz is part of the DRG Group, with 11 brands over 21 sites in Scotland and the north of England. As a busy Tapas restaurant in central Edinburgh, the site used to dedicate 3 to 4 members of staff to polishing plates and cutlery for several hours, daily. After taking time to talk through their current washing process and equipment, Hobart’s Area Sales Manager Crawford Nicholl recommended the new Cutlery Premium dishwasher to help dramatically improve the sites wash results, whilst giving time back to the busy staff.
Since the installation of a Hobart Cutlery Premium dishwasher, the General Manager Foti has said the process is now ‘Much faster to polish cutlery, the machine doesn’t take up as much space, and we don’t need to dedicate as many hours to polishing cutlery’. Their new process for polishing cutlery now only requires 1 member of staff to ‘pop down to the wash area to start a cycle’, and then they can continue with other tasks until the cycle completes and the cutlery is ready to go straight onto the table.
Not only is the machine delivering significant time savings, but Foti has also noticed notable improvement in the washroom environment, as there are less hazards of water on the floor from the previous manual soaking, washing, drying and polishing of cutlery. On the results of their new Cutlery Premium dishwasher, Foti commented:
“The plates and cutlery are so shiny, dry very fast, and there are no residues left on the cutlery”
