Hobart Leasing and Finance Turns 40

This February, Hobart’s leasing and finance division celebrates 40 years in business. As a fitting tribute 2022 will see the division agree its 22,000th agreement – a landmark achievement capping four decades of unprecedented dealer and end user support.

With cash flow the lifeblood of every hospitality business, the division’s tiered packages offer end users interest free and contract rental plans, helping them to focus on immediate business requirements while specifying the right kitchen equipment for the job, not just the equipment they think they can afford.  Thousands of businesses have benefitted in this way, with the manufacturer’s dealer partners using the plans to support their customers and help drive sales.

Richard Hose, managing director of distributor Intellico and also author of former Amazon #1 best seller, ‘Clean Dishes, Clear Profits’, had this to say on the importance of Hobart’s finance packages: “When we speak to business owners, we always try to portray the value and importance of cash flow – and with Hobart’s finance packages, there’s no capital outlay, it really is a no brainer. There have been countless times where we have used them to help get a sale over the line, all for the benefit of the end user – I really do think it’s an option that more businesses should look into.”

In 2020 Hobart’s leasing and finance division was further strengthened by being integrated into the ITW Leasing and Finance Division which offers Hobart’s groundbreaking cooking, warewash and food prep products alongside award-winning kitchen and bar refrigeration from Foster and Gamko, and software and scales from Avery Berkel. The new division makes it even quicker and easier for catering establishments of all types, small or large, to gain access to the best products on the market.

Crucially, because packages have a 99% rate of approval – ITW is the lender, not a broker – dealers now have a highly valuable new tool in their armoury with which to help end users.
