Hobart UK Equipment Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Duncan as its new Managing Director.

A well-known and highly respected leader in the foodservice industry, Scott brings over 23 years of experience across foodservice equipment and a proven track record of delivering growth and strong customer partnerships.

Scott joins Hobart from Unox UK, where, as Managing Director, he led the company through a period of rapid expansion and significant growth. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Carpigiani UK, Jestic Foodservice, and Servequip.

Scott serves as a Council Member of the Foodservice Equipment Association (FEA) and is an ambassador for the Burnt Chef Project, reflecting his commitment to positive workplace culture and mental health in the industry.

Commenting on his appointment, Scott said:
“Hobart is an iconic brand with a proud heritage and strong reputation for quality and innovation. I am excited to be joining the business and look forward to building on the great success already achieved by the team.  Together we will focus on driving growth, strengthening customer relationships and continuing to deliver on Hobart’s legacy of excellence.”

Silvio Koch, VPGM Hobart Service & Equipment Division – Europe added:
“We are delighted to welcome Scott to Hobart UK. His knowledge, experience, and reputation in the industry make him an outstanding addition to our leadership team. Exceptional leadership combined with ITW's unique business model are the driving forces behind our strong market position. On behalf of everyone at Hobart, I would like to extend our best wishes for his success in this important new role.

“We would also like to thank Tracy Southwell, the outgoing Managing Director, for her contribution and leadership. During her time in the role, Tracy initiated an important period of transformation, strengthening the foundations of the business and driving progress in areas such as employee development, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability. Her energy and commitment have made a positive impact, and we wish her every success in the next chapter of her career.”

Looking ahead, Scott will build on this foundation by focusing on driving revenue and profitability, enhancing customer service and operational efficiency, and further advancing Hobart UK’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
