Meet the Team - Amy White

Quickfire Q&A with…Amy White, Key Accounts and Office Supervisor – Hobart UK Equipment Division

For more than a decade, Amy White has been a cornerstone of the Hobart team, currently excelling in her role as Office Supervisor. Known for effortlessly tackling challenges, she’s an integral part of the Hobart family.

Join us as we sit down with Amy to uncover her favourite product, a surprising hidden passion, and the nostalgic dish that holds a special place in her heart.

In one sentence, how would you summarise your role at Hobart?

Very interesting, challenging, and different every day.

How long have you been in your role?

I’ve been in my current role as office supervisor for three years. I came back to Hobart 10 years ago after taking a little break, but I started 14 years ago. Time flies!

Why do you love being a part of the Hobart team?

It’s like a family – everyone looks out for each other. Hobart is the definition of what a great team is.

What’s your favourite Hobart product and why?

The Hobart High Speed Steamer 305GB. It’s such an amazing piece of equipment, it can cook vegetables in seconds and blows my mind every time I watch it.

Tell us something about you that not many people know?

When I was younger, I was obsessed with handbags. At one point, I had over 250 of them! When I moved in with my partner, I had to downsize my collection because they were everywhere. If a bag was pretty, or unusual, I just had to have it, so I ended up buying them all the time. Surprisingly, I only use the same three handbags and never touched the rest!

What’s the best meal of your life, and why?

My dad’s cheese and potato pie. It’s one of those dishes that reminds you of childhood and that even in hard times, there’s always something to look forward to. It’s so simple and has taught me to appreciate the little things in life. We’d have everybody around the dinner table, and we would all dig into this cheese and potato pie – it brought everybody home.
